Lijin’s High Gloss Twill Carbon Fiber Sheet is an outstanding decorative laminate with a deep, glossy, three-dimensional finish. It is constructed with layers of unidirectional carbon fiber prepreg laid up in a 0/90 degree orientation with a single layer of 2×2 twill carbon fiber prepreg on each of the outside surfaces. This type of construction produces a decorative laminate that has the classic carbon fiber look but with greater strength and stiffness than our Unidirectional Carbon Fiber Sheets.

The carbon fiber sheet is semi-flexible, yet remains stiff like cardstock. It can bend in only one direction at a time making it suitable for either flat surfaces or pipes. Once cured, these sheets cannot be re-shaped. Therefore they will not lie flat on compound curves, convex, or concave surfaces. One side features our recognized high gloss finish while available options for the opposite side include a high gloss, matte, or adhesive-backed finish.

Lijin offers a selection of carbon fiber fabrics that deliver higher strength- and stiffness-to-weight ratios than any other commonly available reinforcements, particularly when used with epoxy resins. These Classic styles are woven for their fiber orientation and are the most commonly used in the composites industry. They include plain and twill weaves, available in a variety of densities and thicknesses. Plain weave styles are less pliable but hold together well when cut. On the other hand, twill weaves feature fibers that run straighter for greater lengths--maintaining the theoretical strengths of the fiber--so they are more pliable and stronger than plain styles. Contact us for more details.
